Swansea Bay’s Food Tourism Conference

Monday 14th March – Starting at 9.45am at Sketty Hall, Swansea, SA2 8QF

Networking, seminars, talks and more… This event is brought to you by members of Swansea Bay’s Good Food Circle

The theme for this year’s conference is Adventure…

Andrew Price, presenter of ITV’s Coast & Country, talks to Bryan Webb… about life as one of Britain’s Best Chefs, Michelin Stars & his ‘Adventures’that have inspired his cooking.  (This talk will follow lunch)

Bryan Webb is one of Britain’s most successful chefs.  He started his career at The Crown at Whitebrook – the first Michelin starred restaurant in Wales.  He then worked in many award winning and prestigious restaurants around the UK… winning several awards during his career.    In 2002, Bryan & his wife Susan embarked on a tasting trip around the world, before returning to Wales to set up Tyddyn Llan, a restaurant with rooms in Denbighshire, North Wales.  Bryan & Susan currently hold a Michelin Star at Tyddyn Llan which they gained in 2010.  Tyddyn Llan is one of only six Michelin Starred restaurants in Wales.

Bryan Webb’s rustic, flavour-driven cooking can also be enjoyed at home. His cookbook, Bryan Webb’s Kitchen, came out in 2010 and includes his signature dishes and recipes inspired by his food heroes, amongst many more. Also in the book are tales of the couple’s eating travels around the world…

Food is an important part of the visitor experience and the day is an opportunity to network with producers, suppliers, chefs, restaurateurs / cafe owners – anyone who serves food to visitors – share ideas and pick up tips for the year ahead.  ALL are welcome to attend..!
